이곳엔 호주축구를 다루는 잡지가 두개 있습니다. 442호주판과 Australia Football Weekly 두가지가 있죠. 개인적으론 매주 발간 되는 AFW를 읽습니다. 그런데 문뜩 생각해보니 몇주전 North의 기사가 실렸던게 생각 났습니다. 그래서 짧지만(어학연수생이라고 영어 다 잘하는거 아닙니다.) 나름 번역을 해봤고, 그 이야기를 전해드리겠습니다. 길이 좀 깁니다. 그리고 제 영어실력이 부족해 뭔뜻을 전하는건지 모르는 이야기도 있고 오류도 있습니다. 스크롤과의 전쟁이 시작 됩니다. 표제기사: Heading North(북쪽으로) Jets skipper Jade on way He has to leave Newcastle.(제츠의 주장 Jade. 그뒤론 해석이 난해...) 머릿기사: North at a crossroads.(갈림길의 North) He led Newcastle to the premiership last season, but it appears that JADE NORTH is now eyeing up his next challenge.(지난 시즌 뉴캐슬의 우승을 이끈 그. 그러나 그는 다른 도전을 주시하는듯 하다) On Feburary 5, 2007, a story entitled "The Problem of Being Jade North" was posted on a well-known football website that was followed by pages of analysis from poeple delving into the alleged headbutt in Sydney FC's Ian Fyfe by the Newcastle Jets defender in the Hyundai A-League second leg Minor semi-final on Feburary 2. 2007년 2월 5일 "Jade North의 현재/본성 의 문제점"이란 제목의 이야기가 저명한 축구 웹사이트에 올라왔다. 2월 2일 A리그 패자 플레이오프 2차전에서 뉴캐슬 수비수에게(박치기한 선수가 누구를 말하는지 모르겠습니다. 그날 경기에서 퇴장 당한 선수는 없습니다)시드니FC의 Ian Fyfe가 박치기 당한것을 근거로 하여 그 사건을 분석한 몇페이지의 글이었다. And, even as recently as this week, intense speculation has linked North with a move to Townscille as the marquee player for North Queensland FC in its innaugral season in the Hyundai A-League 2009/2010 season.
